Thoroughbred Jockeys

Evergreen Park is looking for experienced thoroughbred jockeys for the 2011 Evergreen Park live race meet.

 Jockeys must have previous experience at recognized race meets and must meet the conditions of licensing as set by Horse Racing Alberta. Candidates must be 18 years of age and provide evidence of comprehensive medical insurance (including hospital coverage) of a type satisfactory to Horse Racing Alberta’s Board of Stewards.

 Successful candidates will be required to commence work no later than May 6^th, 2011. Work will vary between as many as seven mounts per day or as few as five mounts per week. Each jockey is entitled to 10 per cent of any winning purses plus $55 for each mount. Monthly earnings are estimated at $3000 CDN.
