BACONFEST

Have you tried chocolate covered bacon? How about bacon crème brulee?

If you attend the annual Baconfest at The Horses @ Evergreen Park in Grande Prairie chances are one of those items, or some intriguing other bacon-fused concoction, will be on the menu.

Baconfest, put on by Evergreen Park staff, is held annually during the summer horse racing season at the Park.

It is a fund-raiser to help the County of Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation in their community benevolent activities.

A portion of profits from the sale of items created by Evergreen Park chefs, and potentially others, go towards the cause. A 50/50 is held during the day with those proceeds also contributing to the County firefighters charatible foundation.

The date for the 2026 Baconfest will be announced when The Horse Racing @ Evergreen Park schedule is released early in the new year.

For more information contact the Evergreen Park hosting team at 780-532-3279.
