Over the years, at horse racing in Grande Prairie and elsewhere around the province, the industry has been kept viable by many women and men who are no longer with us.
Evergreen Park salutes them at Pioneer & Memorial Weekend – which is being held August 15-16 in 2026 as part of The Horses @ Evergreen Park.
In the Dynasty Energy Group Inc. Winner’s Circle several times throughout the weekend families and friends of the departed loved ones gather after having watched a race named in honuor of that special person who was at one time a big part of horse racing in the province.
It can be a sombre time, but also one of celebration of the contributions made.
