The Official Website of Evergreen Park

Evaskevich Hall in the TARA Centre is the largest of the many rooms at 46,200-square feet – capable of holding large events like an ag show (large combines and other equipment included with its height and large doors) as well as home shows, energy shows, concerts and any other event that needs lots of space.

It is the largest space of its kind in the Grande Prairie area.

Tables, chairs and bleacher seating can be configured to host concerts, MMA fights, festivals, banquets, weddings, memorials and other events.

Three large doors off Evaskevich Hall open into our three salons - each 6,606 square feet and 24 feet to the ceiling. They are split by a moveable wall that can open up to create almost 20,000 more square feet of space. Each Hall can accommodate 300 people.

THE EVASKEVICH FAMILY

Evaskevich Hall is named in honor of a long-time local family.

Paul John Evaskevich (photo), the patriarch of the family, was a beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, who passed away on September 8, 2023, at 92. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and community involvement that touched the lives of many.

He was involved with the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, as founding chairman of the Downtown Association, and in leadership roles with various organizations, including the Grande Prairie Real Estate Board, the Home Builders Association, and the Northwestern Polytechnic (formally Grande Prairie Regional College).

His dedication was recognized with awards such as Kinsman of the Year and Rotarian of the Year, NWP Award of Distinction, and the Centennial Award. In 2022, Paul and Coreen generously established the Paul and Coreen Evaskevich Health Education Scholarship at Northwestern Polytechnic.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his 13 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Coreen Evaskevich; his children Dorothy Evaskevich (Cam Marshall), Maureen Evaskevich, (Del Dorscheid), and Grant Evaskevich; as well as his cherished grandchildren Zachary MacDonald, Jessica MacDonald (Alex Kucey), Drew Cameron, Kate Cameron and Brielle Evaskevich (Brielle’s mom Kim), and niece Marilyn Stenvall, along with many nieces and nephews.
