BIG DAY FOR JOCKEY LARRIS ALLEN
Larris Allen had himself a day at The Horses At Evergreen Park at J.D.A. Raceway on Saturday.
The veteran jockey had five firsts and two seconds over eight races and earned over $22,000 on the day for the various owners he was riding for.
The only time he didn’t win/place was in the first race of the day when he ended sixth.
Over $124,000 was bet on the day making the handle for just two race days almost $250,000.
For those whose bets are determined by who is behind the reins there is good news for Sunday. Allen is behind the reins in six of the eight races. Admission is free and racing starts at 1:15 p.m.
Betting kiosks are offered both outside and inside in the MNP Concourse and there is beverage station and large hospitality tent between the Gordon Badger Stadium and the paddock.
There will be food trucks on site and there is a large sand pile, with toys provided, for the kids to enjoy. There are smoking areas on either side of the stadiumTo see a full schedule of races, and special events go here.
