Indigenous Celebration

The Indigenous Celebration, presented by Ovintiv, was held at Evergreen Park in 2024 and has since become an annual June event in Grande Prairie. This two-day celebration highlights Indigenous culture, history, and sport.

Visitors can experience:

  • Traditional drummers and dancers
  • Indigenous arts and crafts
  • Indian Relay Racing , – a thrilling, 300-year-old Indigenous sport featuring bareback racing and rapid horse-and-rider exchanges right in front of the grandstand
