 Boreal Wetland Centre

The Boreal Wetland Centre at Evergreen Park in Grande Prairie offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with boreal forest and wetland science.

Since 2022, the site has been managed by Ducks Unlimited Canadas (DUC) National Boreal Program. This outdoor, hands-on demonstration centre showcases innovative industry practices, tests new ideas, and highlights real-world examples of how development can avoid and minimize impacts on critical habitats.

What sets the Boreal Wetland Centre apart is its role as a hub for knowledge exchange and collaboration. It brings together Indigenous rights holders, industry, researchers, educators, and the public to share expertise, explore solutions, and build understanding of boreal conservation.

By combining demonstration, research, and education, the Boreal Wetland Centre plays a vital role in advancing environmental stewardship and fostering respect for one of Canada’s most important ecosystems.
