The Co-op Community Disc Golf Course is a scenic 18-hole layout set among rolling sand dunes and towering pines on the southern edge of Evergreen Park in Grande Prairie.
Officially opened in May 2021 by the Grande Prairie Disc Golf Club and New Horizon Co-op, the course was made possible through a $40,000 grant from the Co-op Community Spaces Program. Construction began in 2020, transforming under-utilized land without cutting down a single tree. Today, the course features custom nets, a clubhouse area, and a layout designed to challenge and inspire players of all skill levels.
Since its debut, the course has become a popular destination for daily play throughout spring, summer, and fall. It also quickly earned recognition as a competitive venue, hosting the Alberta Disc Golf Provincial Championship in its first year.
Directions: Head south on 98th Street (Resources Road), turn east at the Hwy. 668 lights, then take the first right after crossing the tracks. Continue about one kilometre south, past the Grande Prairie Minor Baseball Association diamonds, and watch for the course sign on the east side of the road.
The Co-op Community Disc Golf Course is one of three in Grande Prairie and a standout in the local disc golf scene.
