Free hot dogs are on the menu opening day at The Horses @ Evergreen Park Sunday, July 5.
The hot dogs, being cooked on the J.D.A. barbecue, will be handed out until supplies run out.
Free Hot Dog Day is the first of 16 race days over the summer at J.D.A. Raceway and one of several special events planned for the live parimutuel racing season.

August 23: Mr. Mike’s Paint The Park Purple – Race For The Cure
There is no admission fee and racing goes every Saturday and Sunday (and holiday Monday, August 3) until August 23.
First post for every race day is 1:15 p.m.
There is a beverage tent, indoor and outdoor betting stations, and both the Pines Family Restaurant and Wild Horse Casino & Lounge are located in the same venue. A $8.95 full breakfast (9-11 a.m.) is the feature menu item at both the restaurant and lounge.
The restaurant and lounge open at 9 a.m. and betting on the 99 slot machines and VLTs starts at 10 a.m. The restaurant is open until 8 p.m. and the casino until 1 a.m. daily.
