LIVE MUSIC: Fridays and Saturdays Wild Horse Casino & Lounge

Local musicians entertain every Friday and Saturday evening in the Wild Horse Casino & Lounge start at 7:30 p.m.

There is no admission fee.

The casino is open until 1 a.m. daily.

THURSDAY SLOT TOURNAMENTS: Every Thursday 7 p.m. Wild Horse Casino & Lounge

Every Thursday this spring the Wild Horse Casino & Lounge will be hosting slot tournaments at 7 p.m.

Registration starts at 5 p.m.

The tournaments are free and there are cash and other prizes up for grabs.

SPRING SPECTACULAR CAR SHOW: April 26-28 TARA Centre

The seventh North Peace Bracket Racing Association Spring Spectacular Indoor Car Show will be taking place April 26-28 in the TARA Centre at Evergreen Park.

Tickets are available at the door. They are $15 a day and $25 for the weekend. A family of four is $40. Ten and under are free.

Doors are open 4-9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

This ever-growing event enables vehicle owners and enthusiasts to connect.

Vehicles from anywhere in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and even the United States are expected.

The car show participants and quality of vehicles continue to amaze the over-7,000 attendees that come through the doors. The vendor reach has now stretched to showcase companies from all over Alberta. A Celebrity Dinner and Awards Gala with Live Auction are part of the show.

This year's celebrity guests are Dennis Gage from My Classic Car and Matt Sager and Jessica James from Lost Car Rescue.

KENTUCKY DERBY DAY: Saturday, May 4 Wild Horse Casino & Lounge

A brunch buffet for just $15 from 1-3 p.m. is one of the highlights of Kentucky Derby Day at the Wild Horse Casino & Lounge Saturday, May 4.

There will also be special Derby drinks and prizes to be won.

The ladies are encouraged to wear their fancy hats ... and the men too!

SENIORS TEA: Thursday, June 13 TARA Energy Services Centre

Upwards of 300 are expected at the Seniors Tea in the TARA Events Centre at Evergreen Park on June 13 from 12:30-3 p.m.

The bi-annual event offers an afternoon of socializing, refreshments, snacks, door prizes and live entertainment to the region’s seniors.

The 2024 Seniors Tea is hosted in collaboration from the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) teams in the City of Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Wembley and Sexsmith.
