Join the Resource Centre For Suicide Prevention at the 13th annual Chair Extraordinaire, presented by Hyer Oilfield, on Saturday, September 23 for for an evening of dining, dancing, fun, and conversations to show your support and positive connection to promoting mental health in our communities.

Last year over $95,000 was raised that went into programs to help those in need.

It starts with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and then dancing in the TARA Centre at Evergreen Park. Auction items will be available.

The Little Mermaid is playing at the Grande Sunset Outdoor Theatre on Friday, September 22.

A young mermaid makes a deal with a sea witch to trade her beautiful voice for human legs so she can discover the world above water and impress a prince.

Grande Sunset Theatre is operated by the non-profit group Grande Prairie Family Education Society.

 

Before the movie enjoy a meal at the Wild Horse Casino & Lounge or Pines Family Restaurant. The Wild Horse Lounge is open until 11:45 p.m. daily and the Casino until 1 a.m. The Pines is open until 8 p.m. daily.

Blachford Field Of Nightmares returns to Evergreen Park for September and October.

Opening weekend is Sept. 7-10.

It is open 9 a.m. to midnight, but later if there is a lineup at midnight.

Cost is $20 per person. Please bring cash.

Blachford Field Of Nightmares is located about a half kilometre east, on the left side, from the intersection of Hwy. 668 and Resources Road.

If you are in the city head south on 98th Street until you hit the lights at Hwy. 668 and turn east. If you are on the west side of the city head south on Hwy. 40 and turn east at the lights at the Hwy. 668 intersection.
