The Peace Draft Horse Club is holding Driving Days July 30-31 at the Evergreen Park Outdoor Arena.
 
All horses, mules and donkeys and small, young and old are welcome.
 
AEF is required to participate in events and everyone is welcome to spectate and cheer them on.
 
Event sign-up is 8:30 a.m. each day and events get underway at 10 a.m.
 
There is a decorating demo at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
 
Saturday events include junior decorating, junior showmanship, men's cart, ladies cart, junior cart, tandem and obstacle course.
 
Sunday events include team slog skid, single log skid, wagon obstacle, four-horse obstacle and chore class.

The Swan City Showdown is the annual showcase event for the Grande Prairie Disc Golf Course.

Featuring all three of the area’s 18 hole courses including the Co-op Community Disc Golf Course at Evergreen Park.

This event has a rich history of champions, and fun! Join them as they celebrate the 10th season of disc golf in the area.
 
Pool B is all Junior Divisions and MA4, FA4 and Pool A is all remaining divisions.

ENTER THE DRAGON: Outdoor Theatre July 8

t starts with a free surprise movie on Friday, June 3 and ends on Friday, October 29th with a double-feature in time for Halloween – Rocky Horror and Evil Dead 2.

Grande Sunset Outdoor Theatre, located in the TARA Centre Parking Lot A at Evergreen Park, will be showing movies over 12 Fridays (and one Saturday) this spring/summer/fall.

Five of those evenings will be double-features and there are a lot of classics on the schedule including Caddyshack, Smokey & The Bandit (celebrating its 45th year), Monty Python & The Holy Grail, Twister, Goonies, The Sandlot and Toy Story.

The movies start at dusk - which means later in the evenings for June, July and August – and there are outdoor washrooms available. Theatre-goers are allowed to sit outside their vehicles or in their truck boxes.
